EAT FOR YOUR GENES
OPTIMISE YOUR HEALTH WITH PERSONALISED NUTRITION
If you have MTHFR, COMT, MAO-A, or any other mutations in your genes that affect your health, you probably realise just how important diet is to both your mental and physical health.
But knowing how to nourish yourself is tricky. There are so many conflicting ideas and different pieces of information out there. Plus, the dietary guidelines are changing. It’s hard to get a concrete answer on nutrition. If you have a significant health issue, things get even more complicated.
That’s where personalised nutrition comes in. You might be doing everything right—eating well, exercising—but still feeling tired or anxious, struggling with cravings, or not seeing results. The issue could be that your body has unique nutritional needs that aren't being met.
Personalised nutrition uses your genetics to tailor your diet.
While most of our DNA is the same, key differences affect how we process nutrients. For example, some people thrive on a carnivore diet, while others don’t. Or, you might need more of a specific vitamin that your current diet isn’t providing.
Missing just one key nutrient can be the difference between feeling your best and constantly feeling off.
With personalised nutrition, you stop guessing. You’ll have a plan designed specifically for you. This isn’t just about a quick fix. It’s about supporting your long-term health by giving your body exactly what it needs to thrive, based on your unique genetic blueprint.
What makes the Eat for Your Genes report different?
Our gene analysis examines over 100 single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) involved in a range of different functions. These include:
Methylation
Phase 1 and Phase 2 detoxification
Monogenic (single gene) conditions
Lactose tolerance
Neurotransmitters and cognition
Mental health
Cardiovascular health
Immune system function
Allergies and food intolerances
Autoimmune diseases
But that’s not all. Other genetic reports look at genes in isolation and how they contribute to various health risk factors. At Ecological Nutrition, we take a very different approach.
We provide you with the following information on each gene:
How many of each gene you have (heterozygous or homozygous)
Associated health risks
Possible advantages
Symptoms and testable biomarkers that indicate possible gene influence
Diet recommendations
Supplement recommendations
Lifestyle factors that can help modulate gene expression
Plus, we look at pathways involving MULTIPLE genes that commonly lead to health issues, and include tips on managing potential problems.
We also provide you with general nutritional advice and insights. These form the foundation of a diet plan that you can then tailor based on the summary of results from your gene analysis.
